Development Support Services
Process Library
At the core of the Development Support Services is the SVTC Process Library, a proven collection of process development recipes that can accelerate development results and can reduce time to design. Available to customer development teams, these module recipes include more than 500 proven formulae for over 350 process tools. The process recipes are documented and can be monitored with Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques. Customers and SVTC engineers utilize these modules to develop, co-develop or modify new specialty modules that may be integrated into customer-exclusive IP.
Process Engineering Services
SVTC provides world-class Process Engineering Services for specialized materials, process and integration requirements. Our customers contract these services to support their own development efforts.
- Our current staff hold more than 200 patents and have published extensively in a wide variety of publications.
- Customers working at SVTC are able to leverage best known methods and other proven engineering techniques that are formed via the aggregate SVTC employee-based engineering pool.
- Today, many SVTC customers utilize the SVTC engineering pool for peripheral supporting modules and integration support of core customer IP modules. As a result, they can achieve decreased startup times and rapid cycles of learning by eliminating the often lengthy time it takes to hire and train their own employees.
Product Realization Services
Customer product realization is expedited at SVTC through high-quality on-site failure analysis services, in-line metrology equipment and eTest wafer testing.
- SVTC's in-house capabilities and leveraged partnerships in failure analysis provide fast feedback on customer process performance and help troubleshoot process problems using on-site equipment. A full suite of microscopy, surface analysis, material characterization and electrical characterization services provide SVTC customers with the equipment and technical support needed to help them realize and characterize newly developed technologies.
- SVTC in-line metrology services include access to well maintained, advanced metrology equipment with instantaneous process performance data for the customer engineering team.
- SVTC eTest provides 24x7 access to equipment that enables wafer-level, electrical testing to examine in detail process performance. It also includes eTest-specific engineering services to help implement the necessary test vehicle solution.
Additional Services
- Reticle Services for high-quality reticles to support both SVTC and production fab equipment and procedures are available to customers from SVTC and its strategic suppliers.
- Leveraged procurement practices combined with quality supply chain management and technical integration solutions create another valuable link for SVTC customers in the new-technology development ecosystem.
- Optical Proximity Correction (OPC) Services leverage existing SVTC OPC partnerships to provide OPC implementation services for advanced-node circuit designs. These OPC services can be integrated or delivered as a stand-alone effort to the SVTC Reticle services.
- CMOS Wafer Process Integration Services include effective procurement of industry-standard CMOS wafer substrate through SVTC's manufacturing partners. When this procurement approach is combined with SVTC material and integration flexibility, customers can develop unique processes either on top of or under readily available CMOS platforms.
