Commercialization
The role of SVTC, a technology services company, is to be the bridge between the lab and fab in enabling customers to bring novel silicon technologies and products to market in the nanotechnology era. Our model provides a cost-competitive process development infrastructure in a manufacturing-like fab environment, enabling the accelerated commercialization of proof of concepts into real, manufacturing-ready technology solutions.
Under the SVTC business model, customers can acquire development time, capability and process engineering support in a commercially oriented, open-access facility. Services are provided with a focus on accelerated cycle time, without the requirement to share IP and are geared towards maximizing our customer's capital efficiency by offering cost effective solutions.
Development
SVTC provides its development customers access to two state-of-the-art, IP-secure development fabs - in San Jose, California, and Austin, Texas - with a full complement of 200 mm (8-inch) and 300 mm (12-inch) advanced CMOS and MEMS fabrication equipment, designed to speed the development of novel silicon technologies . Pilot Production
Pilot Production is an extension of development. SVTC's Pilot Production service enables customers to leverage their development effort in SVTC to accomplish the next step in commercialization. Pilot Production allows our customers to obtain a source of low to medium volume wafers on a baseline process flow that is documented and specified..
