Joseph R. Bronson, Chief Executive Officer
Bronson joins SVTC from Sanmina-SCI Corp., a Fortune 500 electronics contract manufacturer, where he was President and Chief Operating Officer. Previously, Bronson has served as Chief Financial Officer of Applied Materials, where he also held a number of other senior level general management positions over twenty years. Bronson was also co-CEO of FormFactor, Inc., the leader in advanced wafer probe cards for testing integrated circuits.
Bronson currently serves on the board of directors for Maxim Integrated Products in Sunnyvale, Calif., and Jacobs Engineering Group in Pasadena, Calif. He is also the Chair of the Leavey School of Business Advisory Board at Santa Clara University. He received a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Connecticut School of Business and a B.A. from Fairfield University, in Fairfield, Conn.
Dave Bergeron, Chief Technology Officer
Dave Bergeron brings to SVTC recent semiconductor and entrepreneurial experience from Tallwood Venture Capital. There he evaluated semiconductor chip products and equipment opportunities as part of the Executive-in-Residence program. Bergeron has held senior management positions at Applied Materials, Candescent Technologies and IBM Microelectronics, where he was responsible for equipment product lines, fab operations and tech product development in areas ranging from CMOS chips to advanced displays.
Bergeron has authored 17 U.S. patent grants and has published more than 30 technical bulletins and papers. For relaxation, he enjoys fresh-water and deep-sea fishing and a round of golf. Bergeron received a BS in Physics and an MS in Applied Mathematics from Georgetown University.
Bert Bruggeman, Vice President of Operations and General Manager
Bert Bruggeman led the creation of Cypress' Silicon Valley Technology Center, the precursor to SVTC Technologies. Under Bruggeman's leadership, SVTC Technologies has become a profitable enterprise and a leader in the emerging area of semiconductor development fab services. Prior to this role, Bruggeman was part of the executive management team of Silicon Light Machines, a start-up in the field of optical MEMS devices, where he was responsible for operations and product engineering. He joined Cypress Semiconductor from IMEC, Belgium, in 1996. During that time, he held various management positions in technology, operations and business management.
He has authored and co-authored more than 20 publications in the field of process development and semiconductor operations and holds one U.S. patent. In his spare time, he is an active nature photographer. Bruggeman holds an MSEE from the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium.
Tricia White, Vice President of Human Resources
Tricia White, an operations expert, joins SVTC Technologies with extensive experience in the recruiting and hiring of technical and business personnel. A long-time Human Resources (HR) executive for Applied Materials, she led operations and managed the company's corporate business-transformation initiative. With Applied'’s upper HR management, White created and developed a support structure for the company's global human resources organization. She also served in HR management positions with Sierra Medical Center, part of Tenet Corp. in El Paso, Texas, and Donnelly Optics in Tucson, Arizona.
A member of the Society for Human Resources Management, White is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources. In her spare time, she likes to travel and train dogs. She holds an MBA from Eastern New Mexico University and a BS in Secondary Education from New Mexico State.
Dave Anderson, Vice President of Corporate Business Development
Dave Anderson oversees SVTC's strategic business alliances, marketing and corporate development. A veteran of the semiconductor industry, Anderson has extensive experience in operations management, technology development, process engineering, supply chain management, international marketing and strategy.
Prior to joining SVTC, Anderson was general manager of the Advanced Technology Development Facility (ATDF), a subsidiary of the SEMATECH consortium. There he transitioned ATDF from an captive resource to an independent development fab servicing a global customer base. He has also served the SEMATECH consortium in multiple capacities, including a rotation assignment as a member of the initial SEMATECH start-up team. Anderson was formerly the managing director of SEMI/SEMATECH, senior marketing manager and operations manager for National Semiconductor, and engineering leader for Fairchild Semiconductor Corp. He has published numerous articles in journals and trade publications and is a frequent invited speaker and panelist at conferences in industry and academia. Anderson holds a BSMSE in Materials Engineering from Purdue University, an MBA from Nasson College and completed doctoral studies in Industrial Engineering/Management of Technology at Arizona State University.
Wilbur Catabay, Vice President of Technology and Engineering
Wilbur Catabay is a veteran of the semiconductor industry with more than 23 years of experience. Recently, Catabay was President of Silicon Integrated Solutions, Inc., providing Engineering Services for Device and Process Integration. He also was Senior Director for LSI Logic's Foundry Engineering & Integration organization and Director of the Advanced Process Module Development in the R&&D organization. He was responsible for evaluating and developing advanced material research for CMOS transistors and advanced metal interconnect technology. Catabay also worked with design and manufacturing organizations as the focal point for implementation of new process module technology from 130 nm to 65 nm CMOS technology nodes. In 1991, he was an assignee of the technical staff at SEMATECH.
Catabay has submitted more than 100 invention disclosures and has been awarded more than 55 patents with more than 26 patents pending during his tenure with LSI Logic. He has published more than 30 technical articles in professional journals and presented at various technical conferences. In addition, he was the Patent Liaison and Inventor of the year at LSI Logic. He has a BS degree in Industrial Technology from San Jose State University with a minor in Business Management. During his spare time, Wilbur enjoys spending time with his family, including fishing and photographing nature.
Mike Moore, General Manager, Fab Services, San Jose
Under Mike Moore's leadership, SVTC Technologies has become a leading process development organization with superior cycle times and cost-effective development. Moore was with Cypress Semiconductor for 18 years. There he held various individual contributor and management positions in technology and operations. He also worked at ZyMOS as a Parametric Test Engineer. A tri-athlete, Moore especially enjoys swimming and running. He holds a BSEL from Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo, and an MSEE from San Jose State University.
Tom Lambe, General Manager, Fab Services, Austin
Tom Lambe is General Manager for SVTC's Austin facility. In this role, he has P&L and Fab Operations responsibility for the development services business. Under Lambe'’s leadership, the Austin Fab Operations has transitioned from an embedded R&D lab to a valued partner supporting the development needs of a large portfolio of customers.
With more than 25 years of experience in the semiconductor industry (including Fairchild, National Semiconductor and SEMATECH), Lambe brings a wide range of engineering, operations and business development/management experiences to this role. He was previously Director of Fab Operations for the SEMATECH/ATDF Fab Operation. He received an MS degree in Engineering Management from the University of Massachusetts and a BS degree in Engineering from the University of Illinois.
Prakash Krishnan, Director of Strategic Marketing
For the past three years, Prakash Krishnan has been a key member of the management team driving the business development and growth of the SVTC business model. Between 1997-2004, Krishnan worked in process technology at Cypress Semiconductor. A materials science expert, he holds one patent and has one patent pending in lithography process development.
Having worked as Process Development Engineer at Analog Devices, Krishnan is valued for his hands-on experience. Away from the lab, he follows professional sports teams, plays basketball and volleyball for fun, and especially enjoys time with family. He holds an MS in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Florida.
