Bert Bruggeman, Chief Executive Officer

Bert Bruggeman was the founder SVTC Technologies and original architect of the Lab to Fab TM concept. Under Mr. Bruggeman's leadership, SVTC has become an innovative business model and a leader in the emerging area of technology commercialization services. Mr. Bruggeman has also held the role of Vice President of Operations and General Manager for SVTC where he instilled a passion for operational excellence and a commitment to customer success. 

Mr. Bruggeman brings a wealth of experience to SVTC having held several leadership positions in the field of technology development, commercialization and operations within the semiconductor industry.  His roles have included Vice President at MEMC and Senior Director of Process Technology Development and Worldwide Foundry Operations at Cypress Semiconductor.  Mr. Bruggeman was also the Director of Operations and Product Engineering at Silicon Light Machines, a start-up in the field of optical MEMS devices.  He began his career at the IMEC R&D facility in Belgium.

Mr. Bruggeman has authored and co-authored over 20 publications in the field of process development and semiconductor operations and is a US patent holder. Mr. Bruggeman holds an MSEE from the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium.

Dave Bergeron, Chief Technology Officer

Dave Bergeron brings to SVTC recent semiconductor and entrepreneurial experience from Tallwood Venture Capital. There he evaluated semiconductor chip products and equipment opportunities as part of the Executive-in-Residence program. Mr. Bergeron has held senior management positions at Applied Materials, Candescent Technologies and IBM Microelectronics, where he was responsible for equipment product lines, fab operations and tech product development in areas ranging from CMOS chips to advanced displays. 
 
Mr. Bergeron has authored 17 U.S. patent grants and has published more than 30 technical bulletins and papers. For relaxation, he enjoys fresh-water and deep-sea fishing and a round of golf. Mr. Bergeron received a BS in Physics and an MS in Applied Mathematics from Georgetown University

Brian Stein, Chief Financial Officer

Brian Stein joined SVTC in March 2009 from Mercury Interactive, a leading IT management software and services company, where he served as Chief Accounting Officer.  His global responsibilities included the handling of all technical accounting decisions and also encompassed corporate accounting, external reporting, revenue recognition and all shared services activities.  Prior to that, Mr. Stein spent 19 years with Applied Materials where he held various executive accounting and finance positions, most recently as Vice President, Finance Policies and Administration.  He graduated from the University of Notre Dame, where he majored in Accounting and received a Bachelor of Business Administration.  After spending three years as a CPA with Ernst & Young, Mr. Stein obtained an MBA with a concentration in Strategic Planning and Corporate Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Tricia White, Vice President of Human Resources, Confidentiality Officer

As the head of the human resources function, Tricia White brings to SVTC her vision of HR as an enabler of the business.  She firmly believes in employee accountability, growth and participation in success.  In her role as Confidentiality Officer, Ms. White is responsible for overseeing the important controls that support SVTC’s key feature – IP protection and independence for our customers.

Tricia was previously an HR executive for Applied Materials, holding several positions within business units and corporate HR. She also served in HR management positions with Sierra Medical Center, part of Tenet Corp. in El Paso, Texas, and Donnelly Optics (developing and manufacturing plastic lens in Tucson, Arizona).

A member of the Society for Human Resources Management, Ms. White is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources. She holds an MBA from Eastern New Mexico University and a BS in Secondary Education from New Mexico State.

Donald Kemp, Vice President of Operations

Don Kemp

Don Kemp joins SVTC from Sanmina-SCI where as Senior Vice President, he had complete P&L responsibility for a multi-site $500M division with facilities in Europe, Asia, North America and Mexico. While there, Mr. Kemp led the turn-around and lean transformation of manufacturing operations; dramatically increasing quality and customer service levels reversing customer losses and penetrating new markets. Before joining Sanmina-SCI, he held various General Management, Sales, and Operations leadership positions for a number of well-known companies such as Pentair, Rockwell International, and Woods Equipment Company. 

As President and Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Kemp has worked in private equity funded portfolio companies for Genstar Capital, LLC and The Bank of America Capital Partners.  Over his career Mr. Kemp has implemented new B2B and B2C strategies, led the development of sales and distribution channels in the US and Asia, built and operated several 'green-field' factories in the US, China, Puerto Rico and Mexico, and turned around numerous money-losing plants to profitability.  Mr. Kemp holds an undergraduate degree from The University of Wisconsin and an MBA degree from The University of Minnesota-Carlson School of Management.

Greg White, Vice President of Sales & Marketing

Greg White enters SVTC with comprehensive experience in sales and account management from Sanmina-SCI, where he served as Senior Vice President of Business Development. Prior to Sanmina-SCI, Mr. White held several senior leadership positions at Solectron Corporation.  While at Solectron, his duties included driving existing account growth, new client penetration, P&L management as well as strengthening customer relationships.  Mr. White has also held management positions at Southwestern Bell Corporation, LuxN Corporation, and the Angelica Corporation.  He holds a master's degree in business administration from Marylhurst University and a bachelor's degree in Public Relations & Environmental Studies from San Jose State University.

Dave Anderson, Vice President of Corporate Business Development

Dave Anderson oversees SVTC's strategic business alliances, marketing and corporate development. A veteran of the semiconductor industry, Mr. Anderson has extensive experience in operations management, technology development, process engineering, supply chain management, international marketing and strategy.  
 
Prior to joining SVTC, Mr. Anderson was General Manager of the Advanced Technology Development Facility (ATDF), a subsidiary of the SEMATECH consortium. There he transitioned ATDF from a captive resource to an independent development fab servicing a global customer base. He has also served the SEMATECH consortium in multiple capacities, including a rotation assignment as a member of the initial SEMATECH start-up team. Mr. Anderson was formerly the Managing Director of SEMI/SEMATECH, Senior Marketing Manager and Operations Manager for National Semiconductor and engineering leader for Fairchild Semiconductor Corp. He has published numerous articles in journals and trade publications and is a frequent invited speaker and panelist at conferences in industry and academia. Mr. Anderson holds a BSMSE in Materials Engineering from Purdue University, an MBA from Nasson College and completed doctoral studies in Industrial Engineering/ Management of Technology at Arizona State University.

Jon Myers, Vice President of Business Development

Jon Myers joined SVTC Technologies in August of 2008. Recognized for his contributions to the company, including defining the sales strategy and bringing in new customers, Mr. Myers has recently transitioned to his current role. From 1999 to 2008, Mr. Myers held a variety of executive positions at Lam Research including General Manager of North America Regional Operations and General Manager of the Customer Support Business Group. Mr. Myers is a graduate of Harvard Business School and holds an engineering degree from Cornell University. He is an avid skier and, on weekends, he coaches and plays soccer.

Wilbur Catabay, Vice President of Technology and Engineering

Wilbur Catabay is a veteran of the semiconductor industry with more than 23 years of experience. Recently, Mr. Catabay was President of Silicon Integrated Solutions, Inc., providing Engineering Services for Device and Process Integration. He also was Senior Director for LSI Logic's Foundry Engineering & Integration organization and Director of the Advanced Process Module Development in the R&&D organization. He was responsible for evaluating and developing advanced material research for CMOS transistors and advanced metal interconnect technology. Mr. Catabay also worked with design and manufacturing organizations as the focal point for implementation of new process module technology from 130 nm to 65 nm CMOS technology nodes. In 1991, he was an assignee of the technical staff at SEMATECH. 
 
Mr. Catabay has submitted more than 100 invention disclosures and has been awarded more than 55 patents with more than 26 patents pending during his tenure with LSI Logic. He has published more than 30 technical articles in professional journals and presented at various technical conferences. In addition, he was the Patent Liaison and Inventor of the year at LSI Logic. He has a BS degree in Industrial Technology from San Jose State University with a minor in Business Management. During his spare time, Wilbur enjoys spending time with his family, including fishing and photographing nature.

Mike Moore, Vice President of Solar

Under Mike Moore's leadership, SVTC Technologies has become a leading process development organization with superior cycle times and cost-effective development. Mr. Moore was with Cypress Semiconductor for 18 years. There he held various individual contributor and management positions in technology and operations. He also worked at ZyMOS as a Parametric Test Engineer. A tri-athlete, Mr. Moore especially enjoys swimming and running. He holds a BSEL from Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo, and an MSEE from San Jose State University.

Dave Busch, Sr. Director of Marketing

Dave Busch

David Busch enters SVTC with over 30 years of deep plant operations, supply chain, business development, and general management experience. Mr. Busch's areas of expertise include factory automation, strategic supply chain design, contract manufacturing, sourcing, solutions development, program management, and alliance management. His experience is focused in discrete manufacturing industries including medical devices, high-tech electronics including computers, disc-drives and PCBAs, semiconductors, automotive, industrial and mil-aero.

Prior to joining SVTC, he managed Solectron's medical business unit, growing it to over $300M in just two years. There, his role included driving innovative supply chain strategies for global accounts and establishing an Asia medical supply base. He has held executive positions for leading supply chain solution companies and has founded several companies. While working at the Mountain View office of PRTM, Mr. Busch was referred to as a "practical visionary," who not only helped clients see potential but also realize transformational results. Mr. Busch has authored numerous articles about medical device outsourcing. He holds a BS in industrial management from San Jose State and an MBA with operations research emphasis from Santa Clara University.

Prakash Krishnan, Director of Product Management

For the past three years, Prakash Krishnan has been a key member of the management team driving the business development and growth of the SVTC business model. Between 1997-2004, Mr. Krishnan worked in process technology at Cypress Semiconductor. A materials science expert, he holds one patent and has one patent pending in lithography process development. 
 
Having worked as Process Development Engineer at Analog Devices, Mr. Krishnan is valued for his hands-on experience. Away from the lab, he follows professional sports teams, plays basketball and volleyball for fun, and especially enjoys time with family. He holds an MS in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Florida.
